PROJECT FAIRS: Let's have a passionate consultant

As a part of the center's approach to strengthening the ties between industry and the university, the PSI Center for Innovation in Ship Design host "NAME project fairs" where maritime industry leaders and graduate students can meet to define short term assignments.

Modelled after a similar program at the Chalmers University of Sweden, project fairs are hosted once a year and will be administrated by psi engineering center but the individual projects will not be supervised by the center.

The Psi Engineering Center will support Shackleton incubator and Grand Challenge project where engineering service or design is required. With a team of permanent professional engineers supervising students, Psi Engineering Center is certified to provide engineering service.

TRAINING PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS

Have you ever thought that there is a gap between university educations and what a real engineer supposed to do at the workplace?

We are creating a simulated environment where students can feel how a real engineering office would look like and what are the usual responsibilities of a professional engineer. We will have student work on real engineering documents. So when they first come to see a panel drawing, they know how to read it.
