Modeled after Georgia Tech's ASDL Grand Challenge, the program is designed to bridge the gap between university studies and professional experience. At the same time, the program intended to add value to the Canadian maritime industry by addressing real challenges in the industry.
At the beginning of each study term, teams of three to four graduate students form NAME program will be assigned a real problem from an industry sponsor to review, analyze and propose a solution.
The challenge topics can be an open-ended grand challenge faced by the industry or a real R&D project for the project sponsor.
